The Equinix MLPE service automates peering for open networks by providing route servers for participants to exchange routing information with multiple peers using only a pair of BGP sessions.
This allows for the establishment of sessions without a bilateral peering agreement in place with the participating networks, The MLPE route server peering is available at all Equinix Internet Exchange locations.
All Equinix MLPE route servers support the ability for participants to more granularly control outbound announcements of their routes using BGP Communities:

Please note that despite the unified ASN, the Equinix MLPE service does not redistribute prefixes between Internet Exchanges in different metros.
